Description Insulating Heat Wrap Tape in Blue Heat wrap may help increase performance by retaining the heat in the exhaust pipes, this helps to expel gases quicker. There’s less radiant heat which can help protect other component and your legs… – those with side exit exhausts and motorbikes may relate to this one. Oh and it looks good too!   Specifications: Length: Please choose the length required from the drop-down options Width: approximately 2″/50mm wide     HOW TO APPLY: To maximise its insulation capacity the aim is to wrap as tightly as possible. Wetting the wrap can reduce fibre ‘fly’ and make the installation easier. Furthermore, on drying the wrap will set in a tighter, snugger fit. Soaking heat wrap before application is strongly advised!   Starting closest to the exhaust port (engine), wrap a full circumference and tie with stainless steel ties or with jubilee clips. Thread the ties in a similar way to the plastic tie with the lump profile of the clasp on the outside. To achieve as tight a fit as possible on the stainless steel tail and push the clasp with a screw driver. Trim the tail to the desired length with pliers/snipers. Apply the wrap by wrapping round the headers or exhaust manually and at an angle to overlap by 30%-50% of the width (especially on the bends) to ensure 100% coverage. If the primary tubes become too close together, begin to wrap around both maintaining the 30% – 50% overlap. Finish off with stainless steel ties or jubilee clips. On initial application you may experience some smoke.  This is to be expected as the starch applied to the yarns to aid the weaving process need to be removed. This will only occur during the initial application of heat and will cease after 10-15 minutes. Leave the motor running until the volatiles have been driven off. There is no possibility of the wrap catching fire.   HEALTH AND SAFETY NOTE: All our Exhaust wrap products are safe, non-carcinogenic or hazardous to health. However, contact with fibres can be itchy to some people so if susceptible we recommend safely glasses, gloves and a dust mask. If you experience skin irritation this will only be temporary and can be reduced by washing of the hands in warm soapy water. Environmental damage caused by incorrect disposal of batteries

Batteries must not be disposed of in household waste. You are legally obliged to return old batteries so that proper disposal can be ensured. You can hand in old batteries at a municipal collection point or at a local retailer. As a distributor of batteries, we are also obliged to take back old batteries, although our obligation to take back is limited to old batteries of the type that we have or have had in our range as new batteries. You can therefore either send old batteries of the aforementioned type back to us with sufficient postage or hand them in free of charge directly in our store at the address given in the imprint.

Batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out garbage can. This symbol indicates that batteries must not be thrown in household waste. For batteries that contain more than 0.0005 percent mercury (HG) by weight, more than 0.002 percent cadmium (Cd) by weight or more than 0.004 percent lead (Pb) by weight, the chemical name of the pollutant used is located under the garbage can symbol.

Dispose of electrical devices in an environmentally friendly manner

Electrical devices must not be disposed of with household waste. According to the European directive on waste electrical and electronic equipment, used electrical devices must be collected separately and sent to special collection and return systems. Owners of old devices from private households can hand them in at the collection points of the public waste disposal authorities or at the return points set up by manufacturers or distributors in accordance with the ElektroG.
