Description Cortopin 1% w/w Cream is a mild topical steroid cream containing hydrocortisone which belongs to a group of medicines called corticosteroids. Cortopin 1% w/w Cream effectively reduces inflammation, itching, and redness caused by conditions such as: Mild to moderate eczema or skin allergies. Dermatitis caused by irritants or allergens. Reactions to insect bites and stings. How to use: For application to the surface of the skin only: Wash your hands thoroughly before use. Apply the cream sparingly to the affected area, once or twice a day for a maximum of 7 days. Massage the cream gently into the affected area to help absorption into the skin. Once applied, do not cover the area with a dressing or plaster. IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT CORTOPIN 1% W/W CREAM: Do not apply to damaged skin. For external use only. Always consult your doctor or pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or if you or your child are taking any other prescription medications, regular medicines, or receiving regular treatment. Like all medicines, Cortopin can cause side effects, if you get any side effects, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. Do not use Cortopin 1% w/w Cream if you are allergic to hydrocortisone or to any of the other ingredients of Cortopin, if you have a bacterial infection, viral infection or fungal infection of the skin or on your face or near your eyes, on the anal or genital region, or on broken skin. Ingredients: The active substance is hydrocortisone and the cream contains 10 mg in every 1g (1%), Cetostearyl alcohol, chlorocresol, liquid paraffin, Macrogol cetostearyl ether, white soft paraffin, and purified water.
